Nomination for inclusion on the Roll of Honour

Nominations to Ampthill’s Community Roll of Honour are invited each year from 1st May to 30th June.

The following are guidelines for nominations;

1. The Roll of Honour will be awarded to a resident or someone with a long and close affiliation with the town.

2. Up to 3 nominations may be agreed for any one year and under exceptional circumstances up to 5 nominations for any one year.

3. Candidates are to be alive or have passed away within the past twenty-four months.

4. Candidates for the Roll of Honour should have a range of interests and be known for their work which has a community benefit.

5. Nominations will not be accepted if the candidate has been nominated solely for their political activities.

6. A recommendation for admittance to the Roll of Honour should be supported by at least one other letter of recommendation which should not be from a family member. As much information as possible support

As much as information as possible supporting your nomination should be given to assist the Council in their deliberations.
