Youth groups across the area can jump on a Central Bedfordshire Youth Bus to have fun at affordable prices. Many youth groups want to organise outings such as ice skating or bowling but don't have the budget or transport to do so. Now they can hire a bus to take parties of six to 80 young people within a 50-mile radius of their starting point in Central Bedfordshire.
All youth groups have to do is to join the Central Bedfordshire Youth Bus Operational Group. They pay a £25 annual membership to get bus hire, starting at £3 return per person, with free travel for adult supervisors. The service has been extended to all youth groups in Central Bedfordshire for a one year trial, so make the most of it by calling Rachel Stanton on 01525 373838 to join.
The group includes Central Bedfordshire Council, Leighton Linslade Town Council, Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity and Bucks and Milton Keynes Transport Partnership.

Ampthill Festival is 30 years old! |

Ampthill Festival is 30 year old this year! So as you can expect, it will be even better! There are the ‘old favourites’ such as the Frog Racing, Quiz Night etc but there are also new events like the Progressive Supper, a Rock’n’Roll night in the Park and a Wine Tasting evening.
Following the huge success of the first Ampthill Proms in the Park, this year’s evening (June 26th) promises to be even bigger and better. It will certainly be very popular, so keep your eyes on the local press and on local shop posters and flyers for details about ticket sales.
Friday Rocks is a new event which guarantees to set Ampthill Park really rocking! This is on Friday evening 25th June and again you will need to get to the tickets fast before they all go. More details will be available in future editions.
Sunday 26th June is the traditional Festival Parade through town ending at Ampthill Park where there will be lots of fun-filled rides and entertainment for all the family. Don’t miss it!
