Cllr Richard Holden has been elected Mayor of Ampthill for 2009/10 and his Deputy Mayor is Cllr Mrs Margaret Wilson.

Richard's chosen charities for his mayoral year are Keech Cottage Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support Bedfordshire and the two local pre-school playgroups in Ampthill namely Jack and Jill in Houghton Close and Ladybirds based at Russell Lower School.
